What is MonKeyRice?

MonKeyRice allows the users of the Banano community to answer questions on Freerice.com to earn rice for charity.
As reward for their rice donations, participants are paid out in Banano, with half going to charity. We also give out cryptomonKeys and other NFTs.

How to participate

  1. Make an account at Freerice.com.
  2. Once logged in, join the r/banano group by clicking here or entering the group code: A7G4VWT7.
  3. Fill out our Google Form (so we have your BAN/WAX info for payment).
  4. Go play! All your rice will count towards the group total, and you'll be paid for your contribution after the end of the event/week.

What is Freerice?

Freerice is a site that was created in 2007 by John Breen as a tool to help his son study for the SATs, which he later donated directly to the United Nations. The concept was simple; for every correct answer you choose, the site donates 10 grains of rice to those in need through the World Food Programme. Since then, the site has expanded to dozens of categories of questions and donated over 214 billion grains of rice!

The World Food Programme is the United Nations branch dealing primarily with food distribution. They are the largest humanitarian organization and provider of school meals in the world. They also work with supply chains, promote safety, and offer other developmental assistance. The organization has now been around sixty years, and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020.
